Chi Gong in Bristol
Chi Gong (or Chi Kung) is a modern Chinese umbrella term for the many forms of exercise and meditation that originate in ancient China, and could be seen as the equivalent of Indian Yoga. They are also sometimes referred to as Nei Gong, or Internal Alchemy.
Chi Gong (Way of Energy) generally involves gentle, rhythmic movements, breathing exercises and meditation that is designed to both heal and condition the human body, optimise function, and help prevent physical and medical issues, or at least slow down their appearance or progress.
It is based on the same, or very similar principles as Traditional Chinese Medicine (both have their origins in ancient Taoist practises, dating back thousands of years).
I have explored Chi Gong for over 25 years, and trained as a Chi Kung teacher with The College of Elemental Chi Kung 2012. I now offer Chi Gong in Bristol, UK.
I am offering this system of exercise and meditation both as a stand alone endeavour, and as an adjunct to psychotherapy (whether with me or someone else). I have been able to support people with a variety of presenting issues, similar to those mentioned under herbalism, and found that combining this with psychotherapeutic work results in one enhancing the other.
Chi Gong has further potential in working with energy and consciousness. The healing potential of these practises are virtually unlimited.
Psychotherapy in Bristol
I am a psychotherapist in Bristol, but I also offer psychotherapy and counselling, supervision and Herbal Therapy.
